Our Experience
IMPACT Digital was built specifically for contractors, but our experience marketing construction companies started nearly a decade before the agency.
In 2014, IMPACT founder Stephan Foos joined Sound Tile & Grout as Operations Manager, with responsibility for both the day-to-day business and its marketing. Together, the team grew the company from a small startup into a roughly $2 million tile service and installation business.
As the company grew, Sound Tile & Grout evolved into Sound Construction Services, expanding into larger remodeling and construction projects. Stephan continued leading the company’s marketing as the business grew from roughly $3 million to $5 million in annual revenue.
In 2019, the team wound down contracting operations to build Projul, a construction management software company. Stephan served as Chief Product Officer by title, but in practice his focus shifted to leading Projul’s sales and marketing. Justin, now part of IMPACT, was one of Projul’s developers.
In 2023, Stephan started IMPACT Digital and brought Justin in almost immediately, combining years of firsthand construction, marketing, sales, and technology experience into an agency built specifically for contractors.
That history shapes how we approach marketing today. We’ve marketed contracting businesses from the inside, experienced the operational challenges that come with growth, and spent years working alongside contractors through construction technology.
We understand that marketing doesn’t exist in a vacuum. The work you want more of, project values, margins, capacity, sales process, and what ultimately turns into revenue all influence the decisions we make.

We keep things focused. We work specifically with contractors, offer a small number of services we know well, and build our recommendations around what makes sense for your business. Instead of forcing every company into the same playbook, we prioritize the opportunities that have the best chance of making an impact.
We also believe the best marketing relationships work both ways. We’ll bring the strategy, do the work, and adjust as we learn, but we need to know what’s happening after the lead comes in too. That ongoing feedback helps us understand what’s actually working, make better decisions, and keep the marketing aligned with where your business is headed.
